Round Rock is a small but thriving city in the heart of Texas, situated in Williamson County. Straddling both sides of the Balcones Escarpment, it was listed as the second fastest-growing city in the US by CNN. The Round Rock Independent School District was ranked among the best in the state by the Texas Education Agency, with 11 out of the 42 schools within it recognized and 12 rated exemplary. The city also offers a number of opportunities for higher education.
Texas A&M Health Science Centre offers education in pharmacy, dentistry, public health, medicine, biomedical sciences, and medicine. The Round Rock campus of Texas State University provides students a wide range of bachelor’s degrees, graduate degrees as well as continuing education programs and post-baccalaureate certification. The School of Nursing housed at the university is the latest component of higher education in the city and offers programs in physical therapy, health information management, and health services research.
